SPRINT REGULATIONS
The sprint is organised by the Street bike Drag Club and Maitland Racing and is authorised by the IOPD.
- The sprint is for motorcycles manufactured up to and including 1981.
- The entry fee is £30
- If a motorcycle is entered into more than one class, an additional fee of £10 per class is payable
- Race numbers will be allocated by the organisers and should be displayed at the rear and to the left hand side of the vehicle
- It is the riders responsibility to ensure that the correct number is displayed for each class - if not you may not get a time
Fuel
- For road legal classes, only petrol readily available from a road side pump may be used - nitrous oxide is not permitted in this class.
- Machines running fuel containing any amount of nitro methane must have a positive fuel shut-off, that is activated from the handlebars without forcing the driver to remove either hands
- All machines must have an easily accessible fuel shut-off tap with on/off positions clearly marked
Classes
The following divisions will be run:
- Road or street legal
- Competition
- Vintage
- Sidecar/ Three wheeler
The divisions will be sub-divided into capacity classes and interest groups at the discretion of the organisers, with the minimum of three competitors to make a class. If there are not sufficient entries to make a class the entrants will be included in the class above.
