BIKEFEST
July 15th 2012
Bikefest combines a Classic Bike Sprint and Parades with a round of the Straightliners Series to create a bike-only event that will include just about any bike.
The Classic part of the event is for bikes manufactured up to 1987, and is a pre entry event. The entry fee is £35 and covers both the sprint and parade parts of the event. the Sprint is divided into Street Legal, Competition, Vintage and Three Wheeler classes and will be sub-divided into capacity classes within those categories depending on the entry. The entry fee includes one admission ticket and additional tickets are available at £5 each.
Straightliners is a multi class competition that can be entered on the day. Competitors can turn up at the venue on the day, pay to get in, and then enter the competition. There are more details for Straightliners on www.200mph.org.
In addition to these to competitions on track, there are a whole range of features at the event. There will be displays of Classic road and race machines, one-make clubs and other related motor cycle organisations including Air Ambulance and Road Safety
We are continuing the involvement of electric bikes at the event with displays and parades of these exciting new machines. The Vintage Speedway bikes will be on display and running demonstations on the grass next to the runway.
Clubs, Traders and Bike Jumble complete the event along with full catering and beer tent.
Adult admission is £10. Accompanied children up to 14 years are free.
