BIKEFEST - August 15 2010

Bikefest combines a Classic Bike Sprint and Parades with a round of the Straightliners Series to create a bike-only event that will include just about any bike.

The Classic part of the event is for bikes manufactured up to 1985, and is a pre entry event. The entry fee is £35 and covers both the sprint and parade parts of the event.  the Sprint is divided into Street Legal, Competition, Vintage and Three Wheeler classes and will be sub-divided into capacity classes within those categories depending on the entry. The entry fee includes one admission ticket and additional tickets are available at £5 each.

Straightliners is a multi class competition that can be entered on the day. Competitors can turn up at the venue on the day, pay to get in, and then enter the competition. There are more details for Straightliners on www.200mph.org.

In addition to these to competitions on track, there are a whole range of features at the event. There will be displays of XR1200R Harleys from the race series currently supporting BSB rounds, including the factory bikes from Harris Performance Products who are hoping to bring their GP2 developmenmt bike as well. There will be a display of Electric Race bikes, that will both parade and compete over the quarter mile. We have a display of Vintage and Classic Speedway machinery and  we hope to run some of these fully restored bikes on the grass alogside the runway.

Finally we will again have Stunt Arena that will run all day with competitors from the UK Stunt Championship in attendance. We expect to have about 20 riders running in the arena throughout the day.

Clubs, Traders and Bike Jumble complete the event along with full catering and beer tent.

Adult admission is £10 and accompanied children up to 14 years are free.
